Lack of Sleep, Kitty Poop, Working Hard, Mom in Hospital...

Yeah, so I still haven't gotten my nice block of time to go online and catch up on my e-mail. Since last Saturday, we've been swamped and/or exhausted and recuperating:

1. We discovered a massive leak of a reddish liquid from the car, and so took it to the garage, walked 2 miles home.
2. Had to walk or bike (mostly walk) 1+ mile twice a day to kitty sit - Saturday thru Monday we both walked over 6 miles/day
   
3. One kitty became horribly ill overnight and spread kitty poo all over the house - hours worth of clean-up!! Ew! Thank God for stain and odor remover, and goo gone!
   
4. Stupid domain name renewal probs
5. Took advantage of rare 3-day weekend with James, in which we caught up on a ton of prior-mentioned home stuff and errand runs, including issue in which we lost the VCR remote - and the VCR can NOT be controlled without it. 2 'new' universal remotes proved useless. Time to buy a new VCR! LOL!
   
6. Both of us, especially James, have had exhausting days in the office (but fun for me!!)
   
7. Walked yesterday to garage to pick up car, which has now had some transmission work done, and drives wonderfully again!
   
8. Last night, drove to hospital to discover suddenly-ailing Mom had already been discharged, and after visiting her we were home very late. The signage at Inova Fairfax is ridiculous! Even the elevators are confusing, stupid poorly designed signs and garage names. We walked a mile (practically) from the car to the emergency room and back!

Mom is, fortunately, fairly fine, though she has to stay home from work to rest this week. They thought she might have appendicitis - thank goodness it turned out to be something far less serious, and not requiring surgery!!!

Thus are my excuses for not being online for the past 6 days. Now that the car works, and once kitties' parents return on Saturday, no reason I can't finally get online this weekend!!! =)
