Getting Things Rolling

I'm tired of living the way I have been, watching my body and brain start to degrade at the lowly age of 29. This is a big week coming up - I'm doing a lot of things I've been wanting to do for a long time. And I think I've got my life managed to enable me to continuously do these things, rather than start and fall off (per usual!)

We've been going to workout every MWF in the mornings for some weeks now, and I'm about to add to that. I need to work out on TR too -- so I've just bought myself a beginning yoga DVD for those mornings. If it's any good, I'll get a mat, and build on it.

On Sunday, I start learning to sew!! Mom is my tutor, and she's allowing me to use her machine once every couple weeks to teach me the basics and help me learn. I'm excited about this - I actually have access to everything I need to learn a new craft, and a nice complicated one at that! It will work my brain and satisfy my creative side. I just have to be patient. =)

I'm also starting another "new" diet - though this new one combines elements of all the others I've tried the past few years: whole, natural foods, lots of anti-inflammatories naturally present in the food, and a simple version of food combining that allows you to eat fats and complex carbs at the same sitting (I lost 30 lbs in 3-4 mos on food combining 3 years ago, but the lifestyle compromises are, well, some things I won't compromise.)

I should be a healthy, pretty happy person come June! =) Gotta get healthy!!!

You go girl! ;) I'm jealous. Need to get motivated myself. Maybe turning 30 on Friday will help? Ha ha. SO thoroughly looking forward to seeing you two on Saturday!!

Dude - totally go for it. I'm in the midst of overhauling my life at the moment too - going after a new job, trying to lose weight and get fit again etc.

All we can do is give it our very best 110% shot.
