Toronto was great! We had a wonderful weekend in that big city. It was so wonderful to catch up in person with one of my best friends, and discover this beautiful city with her. She, the EP, and I absolutely love Toronto - it is a far more accessible city for the things we want in life than DC, which truly is too uptight! And what amazing (and accessible) daily fresh produce markets!! In a walkable big city! That's like my dream. Hopefully, our friend will be living in Toronto within a few years (please! She will be so much happier and deserves a better life.) We will do our best to support her though the immigration process from her oppressive Asian homeland. Two other friends came with us, and we all had a great little vacation. This picture, amazingly, is the view from our hotel room. =DNow that we're back, it's strange to return to Spring -- the trees are blooming! When did that happen?

The trip has definitely given the both of us a lot to think about. Pup had a few new experiences too - poutine for the first time! I'd forgotten how much I loved the city. It's always seemed to me that Toronto is what a lot of the US Great Lakes cities could be.
