Mission: To become a health counselor who practices what she preaches. Now that I have my textbooks and my first couple CD-Roms/DVDs for IIN, I've suddenly become very committed to my new and better lifestyle. If I'm going to do this, I'm doing right and with intention! It's changing my whole life. Not all at once - I can't handle that - but already I'm making some big changes, as is James.
Overall Progress: Great! Today, I finally got around to planting my kitchen chia-herbs and the starter seeds for my 2007 balcony garden. This past weekend, I tried 4 new fully organic recipes I'd never made before, including two cookie recipes. One cookie recipe ("Chocolate-Almond Kisses") is so good I made it twice! On Saturday, I met two of my new classmates who live in the area -- they are both far healthier than I, and I can learn a lot from them. James and I also visited our new favorite grocery store - MOM's (My Organic Market) and have started rearranging our house even more to make more room in the kitchen - and give me a place to do my classwork, which I've also started.
And if you click through to Whole Pup and scroll all the way to the bottom of the page - that ticker represents a steady loss of 9 pounds in 28 days. =D
Mood: Slightly overwhelmed, but getting better. I have So Much going on in my life right now! But I'm really excited about what's coming ahead. In the meantime, I have to pace myself. I have homework, online education forums I'm way behind on reading, a kitchen to rearrange for better real cooking, many random projects to work on/complete, friends to catch up with, a new boss starting at work this coming week, and more! The other day I was nearly paralyzed with things to do - sometimes it's hard to know where to start. Now that I've made a start, I'm trying not to puch myself too hard.
Sentiment: Accomplished. On Sunday night, I cooked my Mom and I a fully organic meal, including that second batch of cookies. It was wonderful! She definitely helped, but I am pleased to have put together an entirely organic full Sunday meal that came together so beautifully. =)

I'm so proud of you that you always had the courage to change your life for the better - here's to all of us eventually getting to where we're going.
