Whirlwind of a Weekend
The E.P. and I spent Saturday afternoon at Babies R Us and Sunday afternoon at Buy Buy Baby. Can we just say: Whoa.
Both stores seriously should have a cafe in them (haha!) or at least a "break room" for customers with chairs, a table, and vending machines. Not only were we faced with information overload under a time constraint, but how they expect pregnant women to spend HOURS on their feet on a hard floor with no snack breaks, I don't know!!! Fortunately, bbb provides free water bottles to expectant mothers; bRus provides bench seating in a couple places around the store, and both stores have plenty of rockers to sample. =)
We're now in the process of going back into both registries and cleaning them up. At the moment there are duplicates between the registries and with stuff we already have. (One sales lady was so pushy that we just let her put stuff on, with the intention of deleting it later.) And again, we verify the gender tomorrow, to make absolutely certain she's a girl -- if she's a boy, a lot of items are subject to change on Wednesday!!! So if you look us up with the intent to buy, please hold off ordering anything until Wednesday, and check back here for a gender update first. We're 99% sure she's a girl but for now we're giving "her" the benefit of the doubt! =)
