*Yawn* Boy I'm sleepy this morning! But I'm up. I have to be, I've got a big day ahead! Much to do.
Coming Up Quick!
This weekend my Uncle is visiting from Florida. We haven't seen him in many years; we're trying to get the house in as much order as possible before he stops by on Sunday. It's forcing us to get some things done and out of the way, which is great, I know I need the kick in the butt. =D
Last Night's Awesomeness
Last evening, The E.P. and I went out to dinner in the Seven Corners/Westover areas with three of our best friends. I've known J since at least the 3rd grade; I meet M in '92 or '93. P has been a friend since the early half of the decade. It was wonderful to spend time with them all!
It was also hilarious. M is an expecting Dad whose baby boy is due 2 days after ours. Too funny!!! As the "pregnant Dad" as it were, we took some funny pictures together, including one of us two "Moms-to-be" belly-to-belly! That was hilarious!!! =D I am so happy for him, he's wanted to be a parent as long as I can remember!
Last Weekend's Awesomeness
This past weekend we drove down to the Outer Banks for the totally amazing beach house wedding of my friend Chouflora. I am so grateful to my friend and her groom for making it possible for us to come!!! We only spent 2 days in Nags Head, but it was more refreshing than our 5 days in Pittsburgh! The E.P. and I hung out at the beach for a bit on two separate occasions, plus we really enjoyed chillin' and socializing with new friends at the Lone Cedar beach house. We met a lot of cool and fascinating people, as shown by the sudden increase in the total number of my Facebook friends Haha! Chouflora, being the amazing woman she is, attracts other awesome people to her, and several of us clicked really really well. =)
The wedding itself was beautiful. No airs were put on, no pretentions afoot -- just "come on down to the dock everybody!" followed by an outdoor service in the warmth and the wind that lasted all of ten minutes (at most!) Then, the socializing that had started before the nuptuals... continued. The most low key ceremony ever, the emphasis was on the love shared between them and by all. It definitely brought a tear to my eye because the sentiment was so similar to what The E.P. and I were going for at our wedding.
Baby seemed to enjoy the trip, although she spent part of it seemingly determined to destroy my bladder!!! Oh man was I relieved when she finally let up, right before the ceremony. Made standing up straight much easier. =D
Little Laurel Bumps & Bounces
The baby seems fine, she is moving a LOT these days! As with many babies in utero, she likes to wait until I stop moving and get comfortable before really wailing on my insides. It makes bedtime both wonderful and at times painful, as I want her to get her exercise and grow strong! But could she please move over an inch, please. I'm used to it enough now that she no longer keeps me awake or wakes me up with her incessant pounding -- unless, of course, she gets the bladder *just* right!
It's getting harder to move, as it should, as in a little over a week I'll be in the *gasp!* Third Trimester. Ahhhhh!!!!
On that note....

Aww. I'm SO glad you got to be there! It really was everything we hoped it to be. Now, the trick is to make time to hang out in our home state! :D
