Whew, a month to go! A month until the E.P.'s Mom and my friend Dicembre come up to stay in our house the weekend of the baby shower. Yay!
Yay! And, er, Gak!!! So much to be done. There are lots of little projects around the house we're working on that we hope to complete by then. If we can't, it's fine, but it gives us a neat & pat deadline to work toward.
...It also gives us a neat pat deadline when it comes to the Jellybean. The baby will be "full term" the week after the shower, and at that point, could be born anytime.
So in the meantime, we're working on little things like installing a second towel bar in the second bathroom, getting the coaxial cable neatly clipped around the front door (instead of running it under a mat in front of the threshhold, finally installing the privacy film on our bathroom windows, making sure the guest room is ready for Mom and etc. etc.
I've also got a ton to do to get the kid's room ready - and not just curtains! I picked up a great changing table on freecycle a couple days ago. It's in great condition, just needs to be cleaned. Plus I have a light fixture to make out of little paper lanterns, and another fixture to purchase -- I don't think there's enough light in the room at night for Dicembre & son, who will be on the huge queen air mattress set up next to the crib. lol!
...As I type this, I'm listening to very strange, almost rhythmic sounds emanating from my intestines. I think she's playing me like a xylophone in there, squishing my "pipes" around. It sure doesn't sound/feel like digestion usually does! Haha!
