Whoo hoo! The crib came yesterday (again - long story) and, being free from damage this time, the E.P. assembled it today. Hurray!!
It's a beautiful wood crib stained in cherry, so that it perfectly matches both my old dresser-come-changing-table and a beautiful framed lace square that was given to us for our nursery wall. The crib is convertible, so we have an extra rail to hang on to for a year and a half or so. The rail turns the crib into a toddler day-bed with guard rail so she can't role out. Then eventually it becomes a true tiny day bed... and then beautiful wooden head- and base-boards for a twin bed. By the time she outgrows it, it will be seriously out of furniture-fashion! LOL!!!! But I certainly hope she'll enjoy having her own bed through the years. *smile!*
