I thrive on change, love it. I've been spending a lot of time lately drafting, planning, working toward and enacting change in my life, even in its most mundane areas. Mundane changes are always the hardest. For example, making time to cook real food 4-5 nights a week, with enough leftovers for lunches. Tons of time to do that!!! And I finally give in - I can't change my sleep schedule to go to bed earlier and get up earlier, just ain't happenin' - but I can make adjustments to make the morning rush easier.
You know one thing I really want to change? I want a different couch. This couch is great - but it belongs in a den or a room without a TV or a table or really anything -- this is not the all-purpose couch we kinda need in this small living space. Though, luckily, it's really easy to keep clean, and we hardly find anything disgusting down under the cushions - it can't get down there! But really impractical/back bending for many of my everyday activities that take place, sadly, in front of the TV. =)
I'm also slowly working toward purchasing and installing an indoor herb garden - complete with florescent light - so we can continue to have fresh herbs all winter. I will sorely miss them, especially the basil!! We don't get enough sun for window herbs - plus the draft will kill them - so I want to set it up with an inexpensive shop lamp. It will also be a precursor for the indoor herb garden at home in Erie someday. The growing there is so short, I'll probably keep some herbs inside all year round!
