A New Start with Pedometer in Hand - or Clipped to Bra

I've got to do something about my riding weight. It's really frustrating - Though I am eating more than I need, it's not enough to account for my increasing weight. Additionally, I've adjusted my diet again this summer so that I am eating more whole and organic foods than ever before! My approach is tempered this time, in acknowledgement that in this culture and society, and on our income, it's nearly impossible to completely cut out processed foods, sugar, caffeine, and the occasional glass of wine. It is possible - but I've done it before, saw what happened, and I don't want to set myself that far apart from the world around me.

So, to that end, I've got a pedometer, and I've set it for my stride, and figured out how many steps per day it takes to be at my goal weight. And it's a LOT! I do not think I can begin possibly that high, but if I can at least get to half of it right now, that'd be awesome. I don't know what my daily average is yet even - but I will soon. See, I'm gonna make an effort to record it here.

Wish me luck!!!
