30 Weeks and Counting

Wow, we're 30 weeks into this pregnancy. And finally I'm totally in love with the little girl in my tum! She is so adorable (I presume) and I love each and every one of her kicks, punches, pulls, pushes, and jabs to the hernia LOL despite any pains they might cause.

I've learned one thing about her: Like her Mommy, she likes back rubs. She let me give her one without "running away" and hiding where I can't feel her. She even kicked a few times, and kicked when I paused for a second. That's pretty significant, given that for the last 10 weeks, if you attempted to make her move/kick/turn over for a better sonogram/whatever, she'd just curl up in a ball and go hide. So yay, baby's first back rub! (And yet it was her back - I could tell by its length and by where I could feel her simultaneously kicking and punching me a bit. She double-hits me on either side of the abdomen fairly regularly now, she must be swimming freestyle in there. =)

I'm definitely at the point where my pregnancy symptoms change every 2-3 days. For a few days, she might ride high and my skin breaks out. Then suddenly my face is clear but she won't get off my hernia and I've got random pains in my legs. Then for a few days, my feet itch a bit and I have to pee every 5 minutes, but I'm pain free. Then for 2 days, I'll be knocked out by MASSIVE FATIGUE and have to give in to many useless hours sleeping and resting (very frustrating for me!) Such was this past Friday to Saturday -- oh man, I was dead tired and worthless to get anything done. Fortunately, I'm OK today. 10 weeks to go!

Docs Appt, Hospital Tour Tomorrow

Yep, I have my next appt tomorrow - and we finally tour the hospital tomorrow night. I better whip up my list of questions to ask fast! =)

As Mr Spock would say, fascinating! As a bloke I need this kind of insight into what carrying a baby must feel like. Nice to hear mother and child are bonding well. Take care.
