Trent Pomeroy is a name I need to remember, so thusly I'm blogging it for easy reference. =)
He's got several nice albums on CDBaby and at least one has several common Unity service songs, including Weave. Weave is the theme song of the 1984 Girl Scout convention. Composer Rosemany Crow has written several other songs for the GS, including some campside songs. I'm sure I've sung a few of them. Actually, come to think of it, I *was* a Girl Scout in 1984.
Anywho, I'd like a copy of Weave eventually, it's one of the trickier songs in Wings of Song (Unity's Hymnal).
Bitmunk
In looking up the song and finding Trent Pomeroy, I also came across Bitmunk. Bitmunk is a music dounloading site that buys the rights to sell mps online from the publishers (in this case, CDBaby) and makes sure the artist gets their royalty. Weave is actually cheaper to download from Bitmunk than CDBaby (0.85 versus 0.99). Bitmunk also has a P2P option where you can download P2P from others who've bought the same song, but you still have to pay for the service and the artist gets their royalties. That makes this a service worth knowing and watching.
Aiiiight! Done going over Sunday's music for right now (including Weave)... Off to practice a little guitar. And then mop the floors. =)
